Blizzard Youth Winds Seeking Players for Summer Session

The Blizzard Youth Winds provides young musicians an opportunity to rehearse and perform a wide variety of concert band music in a concentrated, professional type of experience and gives them an opportunity to meet and work with musicians from other schools throughout the Snowbelt region. The band is directed by Greg Hillis.

Woodwind, brass, and percussion students in grades 7 through 12 are eligible to participate. Students finishing 6th grade this spring may join if they are finishing their second year of playing experience at school. Rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:45 at the Lake Metroparks Environmental Learning Center in Concord Township beginning June 13. The Environmental Learning Center is centrally located to Lake and Geauga counties and easily accessible from the OH-44 exit off of I-90. The final concert will be on the Chardon Square on Wednesday, July 19.

Registration is due by May 1, 2017. Cost is only $38 per participant. Spots are limited for each instrument, so be sure to register early! There are still openings in every section.

Registration is easy – just fill out and submit our online registration form. You may also opt to download a registration form and mail your payment.
